DC Comics is one of the most important exponents of the comic book industry.
During its existence it has printed iconic characters of the superhero genre such as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and Harley Quinn.
Over the years, the American company has always worked to keep up with the times, to conquer not only the old generations but also the new ones.
Proof of this is the fact that with the great advent of the NFTs it also decided to take its first steps in this digital world.
The launch of DC Comics’ first Non-Fungible-Token
DC Comics decided to enter the world of non-fungible tokens in the fall of 2021.
Unlike other companies, DC did not sell its first non-fungible tokens but, on October 5th, it distributed them free to all passionate users who had previously signed up for the FanDome: Hall of Heroes 2021.
The NFTs minted by DC were obviously dedicated to its most iconic superheroes, or rather, to the comic book covers that portray them.
As Jm Lee, publisher and chief creative officer of DC, stated in several interviews, this launch required long hours of design work to make the adaptation of classic covers in a format more suitable for the 21st century and the world of NFTs amazing.
For each NFT dedicated to a single character, there are three different variations, depending on the level of rarity.
